S.T.A.R.S. (Strong, Talented, Assertive, Respectful Sisters) Mentoring Foundation was founded by Cristina Marrero in 2016. The foundation encourages young women to be confident by discussing topics related to teens’ everyday life. It empowers them to be leaders in their schools and communities. These young women are engaged in building relationships and lasting friendships. In S.T.A.R.S., these three E’s (Encourage, Empower & Engage) are accomplished by incorporating activities, lessons, and discussions to build these young women to be outstanding citizens and role models to others in their community.
S.T.A.R.S. was established in 2016. Over the years, the program has been in several schools in Cobb County, GA and over 400 mentees have been part of the program.
